Our rivers and dozens of high country lakes provide some of the world's finest trout fishing. Tubing and kayaking are also popular along the Yampa River, which flows right through downtown Steamboat Springs. Steamboat is surrounded by millions of acres of National Forest and the Zirkel and Flat Tops Wilderness Areas, all of which can be explored on foot or by horseback.
