The Snowbird Restaurant, located slopeside at the Ptarmigan Inn, serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and an Après Ski Happy Hour during ski season only. Our friendly professional staff uses the finest ingredients available to prepare innovative contemporary cuisine.

For Summer 2008, May 30 - November 27th morning, a deluxe daily continental breakfast is offered to all hotel guests

For breakfast, served from 7:00 am till 11:00 am, our chef will prepare you one of our breakfast specialties served with fresh fruit. Be sure to try the Trappers Trout or the Eggs Monterey. We also have more traditional fare like eggs or an omelette served with breakfast potatoes, toast and jelly, and your choice of bacon, sausage or ham. If hotcakes or waffles are more your flavor for breakfast be sure to check out the Breads and Batter section of the breakfast menu. The Steamboat Toast is a favorite, or try the Powdercakes to get you started on those powder mornings.

Breakfast Selections:

• Eggs Arapaho
  A flour tortilla, filled with two scrambled eggs, refried beans, and guacamole, topped with melted Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese, sour cream, and our fresh picante
• Santa Fe Hash
  A Snowbird exclusive!, Rock Crab meat grilled with assorted peppers, vegetables, and fresh herbs, served with two eggs any style, breakfast potatoes, and a warm flour tortilla
• Eggs Monterey
  A toasted wheatberry English muffin topped with sliced tomato, crab meat, and poached eggs with sauce Mornay
• Steamboat Toast
  Two slices of our famous orange, walnut, raisin bread, dipped in seasoned batter, and grilled to perfection, served with maple syrup and whipped butter
• One-Eyed Jack
  Your choice of bacon, sausage or ham layered between two buttermilk pancakes and topped with one egg any style
• Powdercakes
  Our own whole wheat, apple-spice granola pancake batter grilled to perfection and served with maple syrup and shipped butter

Lunch is served from 11:30 am till 4:00 pm (winter only). The Luncheon Specialties, served with soup, chili or salad, are sure to tempt your palette. Try the Champagne Chicken or the Louie Salad. We also serve some of the best Burgers and Sandwiches this side of the Continental Divide. For those wishing to carbo load during a big ski day we offer a Self Serve Pasta Bar featuring various pastas and sauces with Caesar salad and fresh bread.

• Champagne Chicken
  A Snowbird Tradition! A 6 oz. chicken breast, sautéed and finished with our shallot/champagne sauce; served with rice pilaf
• Western Steak Sandwich
  A cowboy favorite! a fully trimmed, juicy and tender strip sirloin, chargrilled to your request, served on a toasted sourdough roll with grilled onions, lettuce, and tomato, side of tangy BBQ sauce and choice of steak fries, potato or pasta salad
• Catalina Scallops
  Marinated Sea Scallops, chargilled, and served on a bed of sun-dried tomato basil linguine, served with garlic bread and choice of soup or salad
• Chicken Pot Pie
  A tasty combination or diced chicken, vegetables and seasoning; served with a freshly baked biscuit and fresh fruit

Dinner is served in the Snowbird Restaurant (winter only) from 5:30pm - 9:30pm featuring all-you-can-eat carved Prime Rib, chicken, & peel-eat shrimp. In addition, other tasty entrees are available including the steak du'jour, rocky mountain trout, london broil, and salmon steak with creamy tarragon. If lighter fare is your choice, the Snowbird Lounge has you covered. Open nightly, summer and winter, serving hand-made burgers, tuna steak and chicken teriyaki sandwiches, and pork spare ribs. A full appetizer menu is also available including nachos, buffalo chicken wings, quesadillas, cheese sticks, and steak fries. Wash it all down with a fine wine or refreshing beer and call it a night!

After a great day on the slopes, be sure to stop into the Snowbird Lounge for our legendary Après Ski Happy Hour from 4 - 6pm daily (winter only). Warm yourself by the fire while dining on FREE appetizers and great drink specials. And no trip to the "Boat" is complete until you try the "best margaritas on the mountain". So share your ski stories with locals and visitors while unwinding and relaxing in the coziest ski-in/ski-out lounge in Steamboat.
